URECC members have several convenient options to report a power outage.
During major storm events or widespread outages, co-op phone lines can quickly become overwhelmed, with hundreds or even thousands of members calling simultaneously. Following the steps below ensures your outage is reported efficiently—saving you time and helping URECC respond faster.
URECC works hard to deliver reliable electric service at the lowest possible cost, but outages can still occur due to weather, accidents, or other events beyond our control. If your power goes out, take these steps before reporting:
If all of your power is out, ask neighbors whether they still have electricity. This can help determine if the issue is widespread or isolated to your property.
If only part of your home is affected, the issue may be with your own breakers, fuses, or wiring. In that case, you may need to contact a licensed electrician.
