A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect through 9:00 AM Monday morning for portions of northeast Texas, northwest Louisiana, southwest Arkansas, and southeast Oklahoma. Visibility will drop to or below 1/4 of a mile in the dense fog.

***URECC MEMBERS-SCAM ALERT*** We have received a report of a scam call targeting a URECC member. The caller, claiming to represent a company called “METCO” or “MATCO,” offered a $150 credit in exchange for payment of the member’s bill. The call was made from 903-865-2679. Please remember: URECC will never offer incentives for paying your bill, request your full billing information over the phone, demand immediate payment, or threaten immediate disconnection of service. We encourage you to help spread the word, especially to seniors in our community who are often targeted by scammers. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and contact URECC directly at 903-843-2536 or 800-259-2536.

We would like to inform you of a scheduled power outage that will begin at approximately 4:30 P.M. this afternoon. This outage is expected to last 2 to 3 hours. The substation is in need of immediate repairs and earlier attempted repair was not successful. While there is never an ideal time for an outage these repairs are necessary to keep the substation up and running. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as crews work to make repairs.

We would like to inform you of a scheduled power outage that will begin at approximately 3:30 P.M. this afternoon. This outage is expected to last 15 minutes because the substation is in need of immediate repairs. While there is never an ideal time for an outage these repairs are necessary to keep the substation up and running. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as crews work to make repairs.

The reported number used was 903-228-5841. URECC will never call to ask for your billing information, demand immediate payment, or threaten to disconnect service.
