Fire Danger Issued

All URECC Members

***URECC MEMBERS***

Several areas within our service territory are now under a burn ban. The following counties are included:

-Morris

-Marion

-Harrison

-Rusk

-Upshur

 

Even if your county is not currently under a burn ban, an elevated fire danger notice has been issued today due to dry and windy conditions. We encourage all members to use extreme caution and avoid any outdoor burning activities at this time.

***URECC MEMBERS*** Elevated fire danger conditions exist areawide today due to the combination of southwest winds of 15-20 mph with gusts up to 25-30 mph and relative humidity below 25%. Outdoor burning is highly discouraged areawide and banned in some counties

The National Weather Service Has Issued a Fire Danger Statement for Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Franklin, Gregg, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Nacogdoches, Panola, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Upshur, and Wood Counties

***POWER OUTAGE UPDATE-URECC MEMBERS IN THE HARLETON AREA***

URECC crews are on site and have identified the outage as the result of damage to a transmission line. Additional crews and materials are en route to assist with restoration efforts. This outage will take some time to resolve, but crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service to affected members. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

DENSE FOG

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect through 9:00 AM Monday morning for portions of northeast Texas, northwest Louisiana, southwest Arkansas, and southeast Oklahoma. Visibility will drop to or below 1/4 of a mile in the dense fog.
