Work is already underway to replace the pole and restore service. Due to the nature of the repairs, restoration may take some time. ***URECC MEMBERS-POWER OUTAGE UPDATE***
We are pleased to report that all outages have now been fully restored and every affected Member’s service has been returned.

We went from more than 11,000 Members without power overnight to zero outages in approximately 22 hours.

Thank you to our dedicated crews and our partners at North East Texas Power and Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative for their hard work and commitment to restoring service as quickly and safely as possible. THANK YOU!

We appreciate our Members as well for their patience and support throughout this time.

***URECC MEMBERS-POWER OUTAGE UPDATE***
Crews have made steady progress this afternoon in restoring power to affected Members. We started at around 11,000 Members without power around 1 this morning, and we are now down to 645. We would like to thank our hardworking crews, along with our contractors from North East Texas Power and Bowie Cass Electric Co-Op, for their dedication and quick response during this restoration effort.
 
***SOULES CHAPEL AREA***
This area is being worked on by a contracted crew. They have replaced several poles in this area, including two service poles. The three-phase repair has also been complex. They are nearing completion of this repair, and we hope to have all work completed before dark. They are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to this area.
 
***KILGORE AREA***
There is a crew in this area working to locate a fault and restore service. Additional crews will be headed that way as soon as they are freed up to assist in the restoration effort.
 
***PITTSBURG AREA***
A crew is in this area working to pick up lines from the ground and make repairs.
 
***NOONDAY AREA***
A contracted crew is headed to this area to replace a broken switch pole and restore service.
 
***OTHER AREAS ACROSS THE SYSTEM***
Crews are also responding to scattered outages and individual issues throughout the service territory.
 
With more severe weather expected across our service territory over the next several days, we encourage Members to be prepared and stay weather aware. Spring in East Texas often brings severe weather, but our crews are always ready to respond as needed. Stay safe and alert.
 
Please remember: if you come across a downed power line, always assume it is energized and extremely dangerous. Stay at least 35 feet away at all times.

***URECC MEMBERS- POWER OUTAGE UPDATE*** Crews are still out in affected areas working to restore power to all members. Overnight, more than 10,000 members were without power after the storms moved through, and that number is now down to just over 1,204. Crews are making steady progress and continuing to work as quickly and safely as possible. So far, they have replaced three broken poles during the restoration effort. We want to thank our crews and our contractors, North East Texas, for their hard work and dedication. ***SOULES CHAPEL AREA*** Contracted crews are on site and have already replaced broken poles. They are now working to restring four spans of three-phase wire. ***ROCKY MOUND AREA*** Two crews are working in this area, replacing broken crossarms and clearing downed and damaged power lines. ***NOONDAY AREA*** Crews are actively working here, picking up lines and restoring service to all members. ***OTHER AREAS ACROSS THE SYSTEM*** Crews are also responding to scattered outages and individual issues throughout the service territory. ***URECC MEMBERS- POWER OUTAGE UPDATE***

Crews are making good progress getting power back on after last night’s severe storms. They continue working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service to all members. At this time, just over 4,200 members remain without power.

As conditions have improved and daylight increases, we will gain a clearer understanding of the extent of the damage and the work ahead. So far, crews have primarily encountered downed power lines, trees, and limbs.

Please remember: if you come across a downed power line, always assume it is energized and extremely dangerous. Stay at least 35 feet away at all times.

Severe weather is possible beginning this afternoon and continuing into the overnight hours. Forecasts indicate a risk of large hail, damaging thunderstorm wind gusts, and possible tornadoes. We encourage all members to prepare now and remain weather aware.
 
If you experience a power outage, please report it through any of the following methods:

-Call 903-680-2100 or 1-866-804-1674
 
If you encounter downed power lines, always assume they are energized and dangerous—stay away and report them immediately.
