We’ve received the equipment needed to complete repairs from the recent severe weather. To safely install it, a planned outage will take place starting around 11:00 AM and will last approximately 2 hours.

***URECC MEMBERS IN THE DIANA AND LEESBURG AREA*** Diana: We have 4 spans of line down in this area. We also have 4 broken cross arms that are in need of repair. These issues stem from a washed out culvert that caused 5 trees to fall. We have a crew in the area working to make repairs Leesburg: We are aware of the outages in this area. Crews have been dispatched and are working as quickly and safe as possible to restore service. ***URECC MEMBERS-1 pm POWER OUTAGE UPDATE*** Our crews continue working diligently in the areas impacted by recent outages. Early this morning we had 9,208 members without power. At this time, fewer than 1,330 members remain without service. Crews have replaced 14 broken poles so far, but have identified several more that need to be replaced. We want to extend our sincere thanks to our outside contractors, J&L and Bowie-Cass, for their valuable assistance during this restoration process. Pittsburg Area: Contractors are currently replacing three damaged utility poles and picking up wire to restore service in the area. Cox & Leesburg Areas: Steady progress is being made as crews work to replace broken cross arms and restore power to affected members. Remaining Service Territory: Crews are actively working across all other regions, addressing individual outages as quickly and safely as possible. Important Safety Reminder: Please stay clear of any downed power lines and treat all lines as if they are energized and dangerous. We understand the challenges extended outages can bring, and we truly appreciate your patience and support as our teams work around the clock to safely restore service. We are currently aware of multiple outages across our service area. Our crews have been working since early this afternoon and will continue their efforts around the clock until power is fully restored to all affected members.
Additional storms are expected later tonight and into the early morning hours. These may cause new outages or impact current restoration efforts, so outage numbers may continue to fluctuate.
We urge everyone to stay weather-aware and to never approach downed power lines, as they may be energized and dangerous.
