***URECC MEMBERS- POWER OUTAGE UPDATE***
Crews are still out in affected areas working to restore power to all members. Overnight, more than 10,000 members were without power after the storms moved through, and that number is now down to just over 1,204. Crews are making steady progress and continuing to work as quickly and safely as possible. So far, they have replaced three broken poles during the restoration effort. We want to thank our crews and our contractors, North East Texas, for their hard work and dedication.
***SOULES CHAPEL AREA***
Contracted crews are on site and have already replaced broken poles. They are now working to restring four spans of three-phase wire.
***ROCKY MOUND AREA***
Two crews are working in this area, replacing broken crossarms and clearing downed and damaged power lines.
***NOONDAY AREA***
Crews are actively working here, picking up lines and restoring service to all members.
***OTHER AREAS ACROSS THE SYSTEM***
Crews are also responding to scattered outages and individual issues throughout the service territory.
Please remember: if you come across a downed power line, always assume it is energized and extremely dangerous. Stay at least 35 feet away at all times.
***As a reminder, when you have an outage or any type of service issue, please report it through the SmartHub app or by calling 903-680-2100.
