***URECC MEMBERS-SCAM ALERT***
We have received a report of a scam call targeting a URECC member. The caller, claiming to represent a company called “METCO” or “MATCO,” offered a $150 credit in exchange for payment of the member’s bill. The call was made from 903-865-2679.
Please remember: URECC will never offer incentives for paying your bill, request your full billing information over the phone, demand immediate payment, or threaten immediate disconnection of service.
We encourage you to help spread the word, especially to seniors in our community who are often targeted by scammers.
